1) Easy and Normal doesn't have all the content, you need to play on hard.
2) Get ready to read a lot, the story on this RPG is superb, but also forced. Better understand the story instead of (trying to) skip every cutscene
3) This game has 3 endings. The bad one the normal and the secret one. If you are good you will not face the bad one, but you will hardly see the secret one unless you have a guide. But, the normal is needed to understand the story, it also has a different end level. Make a different save AT THE BEGINING of each act, including the first one.

Hard Mode is actually easy mode because the hard mode dungeons give access to hard-mode only items that boost your stats through the roof if your willing to min-max it, these items are needed due to the fact on hard mode every character you recruit comes at lvl 1 (letting you min-max the fuck out of them) instead of at the level of your party.

Young people never played Valkyrie Profile. Game came out in 2000, and you'd have to be approximately 10 years old to get through it and even older to appreciate it or understand it. Odds are there are very few people born in the early 90s were old enough to actually enjoy it when it came out. I played it and enjoyed the platforming and combat. What put me off of it is the huge amount of stuff you can miss if you don't do things in the right order and don't use your days efficiently. If you know where to go and what places are a waste of time you'll have plenty for dungeons but if you don't know you can miss a lot of things. Also when you find one of those really strong staves that can cast super magics during purify weird soul don't use them to do that. They can break. Much better off just using the normal magics. Also if you cast a spell from the menu instead of by hitting their button then you can hit every enemy at once instead of just one.
I hope you like it, anon. Because I tried my hardest and was never able to give a fuck about the story or the gameplay. Maybe I will give it another try one of this days.

Play on hard mode (it's called hard but isn't any more difficult than normal). Have fun anon.
Make 2 save files around Chapter 3, one for B ending and one for A ending (there's no new game plus).
Hard Mode opens you up to everything including all characters
Easy/Normal mode limits you and is actually harder
Some hard mode dungeons are hard (you may get lost alot or it is a general 'fuck you') but pretty rewarding/fun

There are a few other items in the game that can break, the noteworthy ones being dragon/beastslayer. Fun fact, if you use one of these items and you happen to kill everything on the same turn, the item won't break because the chance of it breaking only factors in between your turn and the enemy's turn. This is especially useful against dragon zombies or manticores, because there's usually only one of them in a fight and they almost always die in one hit against these items

Fucking this. People praised the story but the only parts I liked about it were Lezard and the relationship between Lucian and Lenneth the rest of the story was kind of boring.
Most of the Einherjar also sucked mainly due to the fact that you meet them in once cutscene so you have zero chance to bond or care for what happens to them and then after their initial cutscene they play no more role in the story, with a few exceptions of course.
The combat was enjoyable but once you learn the best order to have your four characters attack in it becomes a conplete cakewalk. You might have to vary it up a bit depending on the enemy but still at times I managed to get through via brute force.
The music and sprite work were pretty top notch though

The prologue tells you Lucian is very important so once you recruit him and his scene was different you should know something was up.
The intro anime video on boot tells you lenneth, mystina and brahms are important.
The only tricky thing is finding out how to use this information, which is just trial and error. The people who put it out in the guides had to figure it out somehow, anyone who claims you need a guide is just a retard or a once a done player.
As for fighting the bosses you just need to git gud, you can beat everything in the game at more or less level 1.

Definitely yes. The overall story isn't as good, but the ending takes the cake over VP1's. Just make sure you've gotten the A ending and watched the after credits scene in 1.
Combat is better and even more in depth but in different ways. Whereas in 1 you could break certain aspects of the game with equipment effects and certain items, in 2 you break the game from raw damage potential and multiplier stacking and there's more advanced stuff like animation cancelling
