I don't know what it is but all the other KH don't have that same magic feeling as the first game does whether KH2 is better or not. They all feel so hollow.

I think besides Days, the KH series has had a really good streak of games. The games have just had great gameplay and the story (as convoluted as it is) makes sense if you attempt to follow it somewhat. Its still stupid as shit, but it makes some sense

i love the story and characters in 1, but 2 has the best gameplay and fewest difficulty spikes i feel.
personally i prefeer gameplay, but i will always remember the story of the first one cause it has more memorable moments that i can remember on the top of my head.
BBS is like the middle road between it all with both good gameplay and gameplay.
I love the games for different reasons, so picking one is pretty tough but as said im more of a gameplay so i slightly prefeer 2 and BBS over 1

Lets not forget about the level design where in KH1 you actually had well thought out worlds with puzzles and platforming and many secrets while KH2 worlds are just hallways connected to huge rooms for fight sequences.

Birth by Sleep and 2 are always tied for first in my heart. Then I replayed the Final Mixes and realized it's probably still BBS. If 2 didn't have limits it would be BBS for sure. Something about BBS just makes me really happy, I don't know it might be the new combat system or just the story, by far the best in the series.
It's up there, though I prefer 2 Final Mix.

And there was detail in the KH1 worlds. I felt like I was running through Wonderland.
I remember how barren and empty the Mulan world felt in KH2. All the worlds literally felt like hallways to the bosses.
People say final remix fixed some of this stuff but I've watched LP's and I'm not seeing it. Looks just as boring and sterile as when I bought it at launch years ago.

The box felt big because there was a lot of interesting hidden stuff in it and some areas you couldn't even reach until later.
Even if it was a box, it felt sufficient for a level. It felt like there was character in it. I can't say the same for any of the Kh2 worlds.
And I know 3 will be similar to the sequels, not the original. It hurts to live.

I haven't passed this game in autism levels times. But I've passed it at least 5 times. Most recently when it came out for ps3. You can bet I'll pass it again if it comes out for ps4 or PC. Same with 2. I rarely pass games,this is one of those few. And yes its my favorite game of all time. Been playing it since it came oyt on September.
