Already finished the JP version.
It's pretty alright as long as you're not expecting it to be like SMT or FE. Go into it expecting Persona focused on idols and you should be good.
That said, the lack of gameplay depth starts to drag the game down somewhat after a while. You unlock lengthier combos and flashy "duo arts" as the game progresses, but all that amounts to is flashy eyecandy without adding an additional layer of strategy. You basically get longer and cooler looking combos and that's it.
It also suffers from pacing issues. The beginning is good in terms of pacing, but for the next 3 chapters all you do is you bumble around and go into dungeons rescuing random people. There's absolutely no plot advancement besides "whoops, another random guy got kidnapped, let's rescue him!". Then right at the end it seems like the developers remembered they need to wrap up the "story", completely asspull the villain and final boss and that's it. It doesn't help that the villain's motivation basically amount to "fuck everything", either.
The combat is enjoyable for what it is, though, and the side stories and idol stuff are kinda cute. 7/10 from me.

Depends on what your playstyle. If you rush through the story, don't care about weapon/skill upgrades I guess you can complete it in ~20-25 hrs. Maybe even less.
If you complete all character sidequests (which gives you an additional ending scene) grind a bit for your weapon upgrades and skill the game could easily take you 40-50 hrs.
I think it took me some 42 hrs or so to complete.

You pop in an SD card with games and you're good to go. You don't even install or mess with the system.
Downside is no online, no DLC and loading times because SD card. So it's good for pirating offline single player games like 3D World or XCX
