Should I get back to it? I absolutely love gen2 but I skipped all the remakes (FRLG, ORAS too)
For now my favorite is BW2, it's one of those game with great single player and replayability. Tournament was the shit.

I'll never understand people who praise the shit out of BW2 because of this one feature while simultaneously shitting on newer games for "only" having the Battle Maison. In gameplay terms the two aren't that much different, the big thing the PWT has over the Battle Maison is recognizable faces, which while nice, doesn't really affect gameplay in the least (except make it so that you'll be able to sweep a ton of your opponents by carrying whatever they're weak to).

More singleplayer content does not make it a better generation, plus you have to give up everything Black and White brought to the table. Generation 4 is also the slowest newer generation since 2, so all the content is consumed at a much slower rate compared newer games.

Gen 1 and 2 pokes were literally the n64 models with some touchups from Colosseum. I think it's more of a testament to just how amazing those models were, but in terms of new content all the devs did were make some gen 4 3d models that were never used again.

They were not THAT amazing. Maybe their animations were more creative and fun to look at, but the models themselves are of much lesser quality than the ones in XY.

I'd say between HGSS and BW/2 (As a whole).
They just had so much content, postgame difficulty was on point, each had their own little gimmicks and whatnot. BW/2 had a good story, BUT HGSS stuck with me more. Both also have their issues, HGSS suffered from many of the issues from the original, the exp gap and lack of place to grind new pokes at all. (Lv 15 Skarmory? Wanna use it for the dragon gym and E4? Real shame there.) BW/2 has more "questionable pokemon designs" as much as I unironically love the Icecream, gear and trash mons, I can get why some people didn't like them.
So since mostly everyone thinks HGSS is the best, which is better between those two?
