I also picked a girl and got her to wear skirts and stuff. I don't know why. I never play as a girl except in Pokemon. It just fits the roleplaying to be a girl and deal with animals/pokemon.

They ruined the Masuda Method in XY so breeding for shinies was so easy and quick they lost all value, and I absolutely hate mega evolutions. I don't think b2w2 are the best but they're up there, the best game is HGSS

Not the guy, but I don't really care about shinies to begin with. But I think making shinies more accessible was the best choice since you could play a whole pokemon generation without getting a single shiny before XY.
XY brought a lot to the table with made PvP more fun to me and I loved the idea of the mega evolutions. But I do think wrong pokemon got them like legendaries.

Wow that's just false. Masuda method isn't what floods the "market" with shinies. chain fishing, hordes and friend safaris are all literally 10 time more efficient.
Masuda was always intended to breed good iv and movepool shinies, and it's still hard.
none of the perfect shinies you get are from masuda. They are injected.

This. Story was meh, though, I liked the lore they introduced. The war, and the life and death pokemon etc. Game performance only dipped when you had a horde battle or maybe 3v3 with certain attacks. But in general, I loved everything the game put on the table, multiple character creation choice for one, even though it was extremely limited other than clothes and hairstyle.

It's not the shiny pokemon itself that is the trophy for you I guess, but the reward to play the game enough to be able to catch one.
