Bravo, Paradox!
>>337208258
what are you trying to say here? I've never played a grand strategy game before.
>>337208258
Don't see much of a difference to be honest with you.
>>337208258
Is the problem that in 1996 the entire planet consist out of one city?
>>337208303
He's saying that he doesn't like the city/planet view that paradox games always have, and Masters of Orion 2 is the only game worth playing.
>>337208258I'll be the bad guy here
The top one has pointless 3D rendering that it really doesn't need; its cool but isn't required by the player.
The bottom one has more room for information but wastes it with giant icons that I can't tell what they are without playing the game.
I'd prefer the top one since the information at the top is easier to read and tell whats going on.
I see SSJ Goku vs Beerus.

20 years and they couldn't improve the AI even a little.
And this is with a Master of Orion reboot existing already.
Bottom one looks like a bare bones TCG or board game interface.
>>337208975
>Master of Orion reboot
How is it by the way?
>>337208258
Presentation sure can affect the enjoyment of a game.

1996: An actually videogame.
2016: A piece of software that wants to be a boardgame.

IMPERIUM GALACTICA 2
>>337209187
It's entry level af, even beats Enless Space at it.
>>337211437
I mean how is it compared to MoO2.
>>337208398
Oh, you.
>>337212890
lacking.
>>337208258
>Space shit
Literally the worst subgenre of video games.
>>337208679
>you need to play the game to understand what you're looking at!
Heaven fucking forfend
>>337208258
But anon, the bottom pic is clearly superior for the breadth of information conveyed.
For example, in looking at the top image, I am unable to rapidly identify how many green apples, pink diamons, blue bubble-balls or yelllow wheels and lightning bolts each building generates.
In fact, I am unable to identify what each building actually is.
While some can argue the top image is more aestheticly pleasing, I much rather prefer the more strategically informative display presented by Paradox.

People who play video games for numbers confuse me greatly. Why bother with visual medium if all you're interested in is a bunch of math and a "You win" text?
>>337208258
>graphics matter now because I disagree with the developer's politics
>>337208679
>pointless 3D rendering
But seeing your space colony developing is great for atmosphere and immersion.
