Uncharted 4 is boring, its slow, it completely mis-understands the entire point of the series and why people like it. Its not about walking about highly detailed environments picking up things and looking at them, its not about reading pieces of paper lying about around the world.
Its not The Last of Us for fuck sake.

Nice try Sony marketer. The movie sucks, out of all the four uncharted games I've played, this one is the absolute worst in terms of content and gameplay. The first Uncharted is still my favorite. No bullshit, straight to the action, character development and backstory done in the dialogue while actually playing the game.

I'm on chapter 9 in 4 and it feels like I'm just waiting for shit to fucking begin. The game's gorgeous, no doubt about it, but I don't need to walk through Drake's house, scour the bottom of the fucking riverbed, and have a brotherly copy-and-pasted youthful Drake roof-top climb with my brother to establish a narrative.
It's good the first time through, but it totally kills any incentive to play again. Drake's Fortune and Among Thieves had replay value. This one feels like it's going back to the store when I'm done. I hope the later game picks up, because right now all of this shit feels like something done to show off the vistas. Great. They're beautiful. Let's do something fucking interesting.
PCfats just have a hard time adjusting to the fact that Uncharted 4 is GOTY 2016, and they can't play it.

I purposefully did not read any reviews or pay attention to the hype because I just wanted to go in blind. And I do like it, but it is slow as fuck. I like all the characters, the premises, the settings, and even the game play, but I am getting a bit tired of the push forward and win platforming.
The other games had a nice mix of platforming and gunplay to the point where nether felt like they over stayed there welcome. This has been a bit too much. I mean I am almost 4 hours in and have only had one shooting segment. I guess 2 but the intro doesn't count.

Again, it's probably because I played it ca. 8 years ago. I don't know what I would think of it nowadays. But, despite the god awful sixaxis grenade throwing, I don't remember the controlls being bad. What I do remember is that the story was quite fun and the pacing was on point.

I feel you're not putting in the effort to discuss whatever aspects of a game you want, if that's the case. 4chan isn't the only site for gaming discussion (I do admit in advance everywhere has their own pros and cons). Games always have many parts. How one chooses to discuss them is up to the discusses. One can talk about the controls, the characters, the music, the artstyle, etc. This isn't an end all for be all, if one day someone in a fanbase wants to to focus on one aspect of a game, they want to focus their discussion on. The promised infinite worlds and were vague about their singleplayer prospects. Infact, they have the exact same singleplayer motto "get to the center of the universe to stop some magical regenerating things from killing everyone". And that doesn't sound the least bit familiar?
