People who are saying your PS4 is fucked are right and wrong, your PS4 could in fact be fucked but also could have been specifically fucked by this game. When visual artifacting happens like this it is usually a memory issue caused by RAM that has not been properly binned trying to reach an advertised speed. This is very common with PS4s due to the "MUH SUPER FAST DDR" meme. Due to this game being more visually taxing than any other PS4 games we might see a lot of PS4s coming out of the woodworks with these latent issues now that a game can successfully push them to the breaking point.

GPUs are with the CPU (APU) and soldered to the board. So when you send it in it the whole board will have to be replaced anyway just in case so they will just send you a working PS4 back whether it's your or not, which is why they ask you to remove hard drives.
