Well, disposing of the extra silver sword helped in my book. And the nekkers will fuck you up easy if you're not careful. But yeah, eventually your tools and skills outpace the game's challenge. Makes for some amazing moments though, like storming the embassies on the third act.

The games don't reflect that for obvious reasons but in the books you rarely encounter actual monsters, to the point Witchers don't need to carry a silver sword with them at all despite travelling alot and can just leave it on their horse in case of Geralt.
There is one thing you cant reproach to sapkowski and it is lack of consistency because the Witcher world is god tier when it comes to lore and atmosphere.

Vesemir definitely knew how to make more Witchers but he just gave up because of the times being (he kept the table and supervised Uma's transformation). I don't remember if it's mentioned in the books that no more witchers are made anywhere. However while Vesemir knows how to make the trials, he doesn't really understand them enough and the trials already had low odds of success from the beginning and even with the help of a mage. Without said help the trials are worthless since their odds of success are way too damn low, hence no more witchers.
So it's not that Vesemir 100% could do more witchers and decides not to.
The time of witchers is definitely past though. Unless a new conjunction of the spheres happen and monsters cross en masse, bringing anew the need for witchers.
It would make a pretty good scenario for an MMO too, you're one of those new half-baked witchers created to stave off the beasts long enough for the kingdoms to do something, but witchers will be witchers and players will be players and you end up outdoing yourself.

Yeah, but in the end it sounds like they knew how to initiate the transformations. As for the trials both Geralt and Lambert agree that it's bullshit that gets kids killed. If they wanted they could easily produce more witchers and they all know it, even Vesemir.

If I had to keep track of the pc games I had some sort of micro stuttering with regardless of them being on steam or not I would have a 300 pages register only for the last 5 years.
