well I can get the origins edition for 35 bucks which is nice but I don't know. I wanted it to be more like classic TF2 but it's really different. Also, no server mods and there are only 2 game modes.

Because even after a week, I had still things to learn and a marge to greatly improve skill wise on TF2. After 30 hours I stil hadn't fully understood all subtleties of the spy, and when I thought I knew how to play the sniper, the game gave me a bow which completely fucked up how I played the game.
You can easily play 200 hours on TF and still learn things. On Overwatch, your individual skill isn't worth anything and it is only by playing with your friends regularly that the skill of your team will improve. The characters themselves are pretty boring and most of them are copy/paste of TF2, but worse.

The skill cap is so incredibly low, there is nothing to master or practice. Unless you play with a 6-stack; you're left to the mercy of (often retarded) teammates. The classes are rock-paper-scissors in terms of balance. A Reaper or Tracer will never lose to an equally skilled Mercy. Class FPS games are just notoriously shit at balancing since it mostly comes down to punish people who have good aim by having the gun or hero be absolute trash. The only game I remember doing classes very well was Enemy Territory; everyone in that game was lethal but provided different tools in order to have team cohesion.
Call me a try-hard fag, but the game is too shallow and doesn't ever feel rewarding. Of course it will be a roaring success with the casual crowd (see Hearthstone).

I've beaten a lot of heroes in 1v1 situations as a Mercy - the only problem heroes are the ones with fast movement speed. If you miss 50% of your pistol clip due to enemy movement you're fucked. Aimwise I won vs most everyone, but then hero abilities skew the fight and you're just fucked.

Did you even play Overwatch? Most of the ulties are ridiculously easy to counterplay. Overwatch is literally goodTF2. Pharah is everything that's fun about soldier to play plus more and minus all the tedious shit. Same thing for the demoman equivalent
