pontiff has a pretty decent moveset and some fuckingly godly 2hr2's for pvp, but the whole thing is parrybait and the damage is just absolutely abysmal for both pvp and pve

The worst part is: in addition to shitty damage given the attack speed, it's slower than most "fast" weapons, so it has higher damage, literally barely, and lower damage than slow weapons by a MASSIVE margin. It's like they took the stat scaling of an Estoc, shifted the speed:damage accordingly, then dropped it by 40-50 points and a stat scale.
Also the fact that the R2 attacks have an angular sweep meaning they miss low on one side and miss high on the other makes it REALLY awkward to use.
At least it has A Scaling for Faith and Int with a Chaos Gem.

It seems like the only way to be effective in PvP these days is one hit kills because it's so easy to roll away and flask, and or even in a fight club with no flasks you're at a big disadvantage if you don't have a touch of death
So, what are all the known "touch of death" in PvP?

Anything else that has a good change to kill in one hit? A lot of greatswords can get a 2 hit combo but that's not enough to kill on somebody with 27 vig so it's irrelevant. Estoc/dark sword is good for fighting idiots but you can just roll out of the combo so it's got the estus problem making the fight last years

I just only use attacks that can't be parried at this point when I see somebody with a parrying item, It's just not worth the risk ever doing any attack because it's instant death.
See, this is what Dark Souls 3 PvP has become, especially in "normal" invasions (ie not fight clubs) the focus is slowly but surely shifting away from just generically strong weapons like the Dark Sword and Estoc and towards touch of death. Why slowly widdle away at your enemies supply of estus when you can just reposte them and end it instantly? Why try to fight a 3v1 gank squad legitimately?
Anyway, are there any horrors that I've missed in my list? At the very least I would like to be wary of them.

The only reason parrying is so prominent is because of the massive amounts of retards running around with longswords spamming R1. On my Gundyr Halberd character I usually two hand my weapon, but I keep a target shield on my back and the hornet ring on just to murder those people. Its effective to switch to the target shield mid fight as well, since most people don't expect it.
