The deep sound in the background on the original is a little bit annoying and doesn't fit the song too well, while the newer version sounds like the background music is too all over the place rather than having a nice flow with the main music. Right now they are kinda equal in the fact that they both messed up on the background music.

GBA and SNES emulators can sometimes go to shit, depending on the game. My PSP can barely run DKC and Yoshi's Island, and Mother 3 has some terrible input lag.
It's pretty decent for RPGs and games that aren't as heavy though. And the PS1 emulator is pretty decent as well (although the lack of the second analog nub or stick kills it for games that require it (such as Ape Escape)).

They completely fucked the music though, I didn't notice too much at first but around the time I was leaving Besaid Island, I just felt the music was not right. Booted up my old PS2 with a copy of FFX which conveniently had a save in the same exact area and then switched back and forth listening to them. It's a minor complaint to most, but to me that music was iconic.
I get they would re-do since it was a remake/remaster with all new things, but an option to have the old music would have been nice. It's just not the same, and I kinda just stopped playing and forgot about it.
It's something I can and will get over, but shit man that fucking music was nostalgic as fuck for me. I still remember waiting in a small line at Babbages getting FFX and playing it as soon as I got home. Reason why 12 is poorly paced is because it's blatantly unfinished. There are stretches of time where all story basically disappears and you're just going through dungeons.
If they put XII up next, will it be the original western release or the International?
