Not baiting or memeing here, but seriously, does anyone else think Modern Warfare 2 was absolutely fantastic? Honestly, I would've looked more forward towards a Modern Warfare 2 remaster rather than the MW1. Then again, I didn't play MW1 that much.
I was thinking about picking it up, but apparently it's pretty dead on PC and I can't be bothered to hook up my dust-collecting PS3.

Yeah, I was pretty excited when I heard about MW cause it probably meant a MW2 remaster at some point as well. On PS3 it's about impossible to not play in a hacked lobby. I've been meaning to boot it up for my Xbox for a while now.
it could have been a great game if they didn't kill the series by putting too much emphasis on killstreaks. i don't understand their thought process, going from a perfectly well balanced killstreak system to...THAT. i guess it makes sense from a business standpoint to get casuals more interested in the series.

I also think Black Ops was really good. Looking back, I can't really remember which one I enjoyed the most. I probably spent more time with Black Ops, but I probably liked Modern Warfare 2 more. That's not to say Black Ops 1 was bad though, it was much better than MW3, BLOPS2 and all that shit that came after. Probably the last good COD game.

Black Ops was the last objectively good Call of Duty. MW3 was just something else in terms of shit, Black Ops 2 had to ditch the cold war era and jump straight into "DUH FUTURE!" and Ghosts was okay at best but very lacking.

I'm not saying the gameplay was bad, but the jump in settings is what fucked over the black ops series. There's literally no balance in CoD games now because they're all set in "DUH FUTURE!". The plot of the campaign (I know "who plays it for the campaign!?") was completely and needlessly fucked up by the jump in time and so was the zombies side of the black ops series.
Anyone finding it a little suspicious that the "best/last good COD" game /v/ likes is shifting forward every couple of years? A few years ago it was CoD 3. Then it was the first MW. Now, its MW2, and I swear I saw a thread the other day praising BO1.
