The other day our entire team went widowmaker as a joke, and we were doing pretty well for a couple of minutes but then two of the other team went reinhart and we were basically fucked because we couldn't do anything against the shields at range, and getting close enough to attack them directly was suicide.
Not even mad though, it was stupid fun to have an entire team (we weren't even grouped it was spontaneous) play one class for a laugh, and interesting to see the other team accurately counter it rather than whining.

If the counters were so cut and paste easy, there'd have to be damage resistances or you know, more varied movespeeds / penalties for picking "the wrong move". As is, Torb can have a turret even farther back than Widowmaker, There's no logic there.
Bastion has no spread, and can snipe from afar too. No logic there.
Reinhardt is far and away the best tank in the game. What do the other tanks need to catch up and be useful in the least good players' eyes, since that's what I, along with other new players - are dealing with learning how to play with, and against.
