They're there, but obsfucated. Set "Dynamic Render Quality" or whatever it is from "Dynamic" to "Custom," might also have to enable an "Advanced" option that appears after. Should give you everything to play with. Regardless, I've just set "Target FPS" to 60 and left everything on dynamic, seems to be working fine.
As for drive assists, there is literally a menu option and a menu before every race that says "assists."
Turn the driving model to "simulation."

Forza didn't seem to get their shit together until 3. At that point, it was tough to decide which was better. Forza 4 is absolutely phenomenal in terms of graphics and tweaking, but gt 6 is incredible in content. too bad forza shat the bed with 5, and oddly enough that was when microshaft were attheir jewiest. even full forza 6 doesn't really compare to 4, and they really fucking use 650 cars as a "selling point" when 4 had more.
