Of the 6 million French fighters, only about 40% were Foreign Legion, and the British forces were almost entirely White, since very few people from the Indian subcontinent saw battle outside of Asia. Hell, the Ottomans had less than a million casualties themselves, and they used a lot of White people to fight for them.

America was a huge help in WW1, I don't think anyone with actual knowledge on the subject doubts this. America's military contributions were minimal however.
Economically though, they helped keep England afloat, and when Germany decided to try and cut them off that was the ultimate reason why America ended up joining in on the war.
SO unless you are playing a role as a government official or perhaps even a dockworker, Americans shouldn't be a focus at all.
