They are similar in kit, but completely different in purpose as the Battleborn character is one of the highest damage output characters in the game and was a complete monster in duels.

She and Torv are basically the tf2 engineer split into two because casuals, so neither is super great as a whole.
Her sticky turrets only kill idiots and junkerat/Roadhog/Winston will easily blow them up just being morons, not even counting good players who just actively shoot them. She's too squishy to easily use her guns left fire most of the time, and the alt fire is just an easily avoided slow blob.
