Best party to finish the game would probably be Dark Lord, Witch, Bishop, Sniper, and Etoile. Spieler classes are okay I guess but I think they're better for post game.
Oh and when you reach Level 15/30, I recommend you level reset your characters to 15/30 once you get there so that you can rearrange skill points cause you won't need shit like Raging Smash once you get a Berserker and have access to shit like Frost Slash, which reminds me to tell you that they mistranslated Frost Slash. It's not a short-range skill, its Mid-range.

EO and MH fans don't say their games are the best because they only own 1 handheld/console. In most cases it's just true.
As much as I liked DT2, tits, gameplay, classes and all, the overall quality of DT2 and mechanics are inferior to EO by a long shot. That's not to say it's bad, it's still wonderful, probably the best DRPG on vita, but not better than EO. The best thing about DT2 is the post game and you still got to trek through the rest of it. Even the post game gets pretty annoying.
Plus for MH it's a way bigger case of subjectivity, as some people don't like weapons having a lot of weight to them, but objectively the MH games contain way more content than any other hunting game out there. MHFU is even better than some of these recent hunting games. The only one I've played that was worth a shit was Soul Sacrifice.

The only girls who had bad dubs were Popo (ITS POPO'S TURN) and Hilda (who they made into a granny for some reason), the other girls are acceptable and sound pretty much what you expect them to sound like. Also Atlus didn't make the horrible mistake of dubbing the songs.

The class system in DT is fucked. Quite a few classes are absolutely worthless/useless until 3rd classes. Plus some members are just outright better than others for their entire class list due to their passive.
But I'm not even really talking about classes, but the product as a whole. EO is a way more refined game, with a lot more style and flair to it. The system it plays around is way more interesting at the end of the day, and the use of FOE allows for way more interesting dungeon layouts than most DRPGs. DT2 is pretty generic, from the artstyle to th gameplay, but generic can still be fun and work. Again IMO, but still, you'll have a hard time trying to sell DT2 over EO. The only thing it triumphs in is tits.

Dungeons are deep (in the sense that they go on forever) as fuck, have multiple branching paths, are randomly generated and the idiots never thought about letting you expand your minimap and letting you check the map accross rooms. Expert is balls hard, and notably harder than the originals, not at all "as hard". For starters, damage is not in your favor at all, especially not at low levels with even the starter enemies killing an armored level 5 character (which, while EO1 and 2 were a bit bad with this stuff, they were NEVER this bad. Go replay them.). With everything else modified, neither is anything else. Ailments and binds are borderline pointless unless fully leveled or 1 or 2 points from it. Oh, but you can bet your ass enemies will have no problem nailing you with them. Running away isn't even an option. It will almost never work.
Expert is just a fucking slog. For even bigger masochists and grind freaks than the original EO1 and 2 entries.

I think you need to go replay them. Enemies were able to crit in the first 2 and yes, they could easily take out non-tanks even when several levels above them.

Not true at all. Some enemies have resistances or weakness to them, you just weren't able to see them until EOU2.

If a unit actually suffers permadeath in SoSC it's because you decided to bring them into battle with only one life point. It is easily avoidable.
That being said, the game does punish you heavily for taking casualties. It takes a long time for a character to recover after being KO'd unless you pay a huge fee.
