You don't happen to be using an 32 bit version of Windows 10? If you upgraded from a 32 bit version of Win7/8 you will have a 32 bit version of 10. Anyway, the game requires a 64 bit OS to run. This is about the only reason I can see it say having Windows 10 isn't recent enough. First instance of this I've seen.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head. At this point in time companies don't want to spend additional resources on demos, so they just release a "beta" version. It's cost efficient, takes very little time (if any at all) to release, they can change whatever they want as the beta isn't a final representation of the game (as most demos are), and because it's a "beta" no one can complain about bugs or if something is broken. Not to mention there are people who genuinely go into these tests to actually test, so it's additional QA for the game before it comes out, that cost them nothing. These days they should be seen as nothing more than a demo. The game already went gold. Blizzard aren't gonna change shit at this point. Yeah, there will probably be a day 1 patch, but it's probably just gonna be for balance issues most likely. When a game, like Overwatch, is using something like the open beta to advertise and sell copies of the game (as in, you get early access to the beta for pre-ordering for example), you can be sure it's nothing more than a demo and it should be treatedas such. The alpha/beta version that were released months ago/last year can be seen as the true "testing" versions, but this open beta is nothing more than a way for people to try the game so they know if they want to drop money on it. In fact any game that has any kind of beta less than a month before it's release is guaranteed to be a demo, not an actual beta.

Blizzard said that the reason why they didn't develop a Mac version (and have no plans to do so) is because most modern macs have an on-board garbage tier graphics card. The game theoretically requires a lot of horsepower and they didn't want to be hamstrung by the majority of Mac users for their version of the game.
