If you use spoilerAL you can set some options to change the behaviour of every pattern. Sometimes you end up with a pretty fun pattern. Setting some of these options on Lunatic (sometimes any difficulty) can make the game pretty much impossible.

There are 4 side games that are both official and not fighting games.
Shoot the Bullet, where you play as Aya and take photos of danmaku. It's like a mixture of shmup and puzzle game.
Double Spoiler, which is a sequel to StB that adds a new character and new mechanics.
Fairy Wars, where you play as Cirno in a shmup with incredibly tough danmaku, but the ability to destroy bullets by freezing them.
Impossible Spell Card, where you play as Seija and bypass nearly impossible patterns via the use of items to "cheat". Kind of like StB and DS.
StB, DS, and ISC work kind of like spell practice, where you choose which card you want to face and there are no stages. Fairy Wars is like a traditional shmup, with stages and bosses.
