They have low speed. If you are leveling solo, your character is most likely equipped with a flame shield / paladin's shield or a gaia gear. They will most likely get one round, usually casting disaster or sneeze. If you survive both, you cast quick, then cast slow on it and haste you on you. Afterwards, you can do Quick =>Meltdown / Meltdown or Quick ==> Quake/Quake spamming until it dies.

well

>The Brachiosaur, also called Brachosaur and Bracsaur, is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI. It lurks in the dinosaur forest and is the game's most powerful regular enemy, with HP and strength rivaling that of most bosses.

>The Brachiosaur starts almost every battle by casting Disaster, which causes numerous status ailments on the party. Its physical attack is powerful, and its special attack, Spin, will most likely kill a character. It uses Meteor, and on its fourth turn has a 33% chance to cast Ultima, which likely means a Game Over unless the party is at a very high level.

Sauropods had a number of "possible" defenses at their disposal:

-The most obvious is their sheer fucking SIZE. They're hands down the largest land animal ever and could just outright step and trample on almost anything.

-Their most famous form of defense though is their long whip-like tails: Some Sauropods even went so far as to have their tails studded with very small, hard, boney spines down the lengths of their tails that could be used to horribly lacerate predators.

-They could also just poop on you. Take a big fuckin' dino dump on you. Completely demoralized. You don't even WANT to eat him anymore, what kind of asshole shits on his enemys? Disgusting!

>>336434382

Not the guy you replied to, but... Deathgaze isn't all that strong, no. There aren't a whole lot of 'wandering bosses' in the game though, so he's unfortunately a good candidate. I'd say ATMA Weapon is much better, but you do fight him twice; once as a mandatory boss, once as an optional. Still though, not that tough.

>Why were dinos so huge? Was it because there was more oxygen back then?

There was a number of environment conditions that aided in dinosaurs becoming as big and as large as they were:

-Many people like to attribute OXYGEN to the size of dinosaurs, but some of the LARGEST dinosaurs in history lived during an age of relatively modern Oxygen levels with only slightly more oxygen density than today. The other thing is only Insects seem to dramatically benefit from increased oxygen since they breath through holes in their body(?)

-One condition that most likely aided in their GROWTH was the fact that during most of the worlds landmasses were conjoined or otherwise connected: large'ness was a boon in that you could just meander your way across the glob for the -choicest- ferns and cycad trees.

-It also could have just been an arms race: Everyone literally just kept getting bigger and more huger and so it just turned into an out of control dick-waving contest with no end. Nature does this all the time- it's why some random fucking toad-tasting snake will have venom capable of killing 1,000 men; it's favorite toad is fucking immune to it's venom the absolute asshole.

>But how much fucking food would they have to eat just to maintain that huge body?

THERE WAS SOMETHING TO THIS THOUGH.
Dinosaur times had a MUCH higher atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide than we did: They were going through a greenhouse effect and the increased carbon dioxide and warmth allowed plant growth to dramatically increase both in size and speed.
The plants however were "less nutritious", but still: it gave them the fuel they needed to get huge.

As a young boy I eventually discovered how it works.

His encounter hitbox will hang in the air on one spot on the map. And if you fly your airship straight in one direction with ONE SMIDGEONY BIT to the left or right, you will eventually orbit the worldmap in enough ways to run into it.

Make sure your characters levels are not divisible by 5s or you're in for a real fucking hassle.

You'd be surprised at how many animals defend themselves through vomiting or shitting on their enemies.

The Buzzard's literal only defense is to be as disgusting as possible: They shit on their own wings and if you threaten them they will projectile vomit upon you.

Which is made worse by that fact that buzzard vomit is full of horrible, fermented, rotten, putrid meat and bile.

Oxygen was around the same, but the continents being joined meant they could grow larger, since body size is directly influenced by the amount of space and food available. They still had an upper limit to their size, thought, because on land gravity versus mass means an animal that grows too large can't move and gets crushed by its own weight.

Plant life back then was a lot greater in abundance because of warm climates, higer CO2 levels, and relatively stable weather patterns, allowing herbivores to gather what they needed to survive each day. Carnivores dined on the movable feasts which allowed them to become huge as well, thouh the largest land carnivore, Spinosaurus, fed mainly on aquatic life like coelacanths, lungfish, sawfish, sharks, etc, which was extremely abundant in the shallow seas they lived around.

>I don't know shit about anything but HOLY SHIT THEY WERE HUGE
>And that neck means that trees were redwood size all fucking day

I remember reading or being told in /an/ that The necks of the Brachiosaurus and Sauropods were specialized much like Tortoise necks: The upright Brachiosaur specialized for feeding on tall fucking trees, barks, etc.. sheering off that good vegetation and so forth while the Sauropod was more "generalistic" in it's feeding.

They think the "hanging" Sauropod may have been capable of some light lower-grazing as well as rearing up slightly to browse on a wider variety of vegetation, still though: both of these creatures needed about 860 fucking pounds of greens a day to keep going.

We keep saying, "This is the limit of dinosaur size!" But we keep finding bigger fucking dinosaurs.
I'm completely convinced as long as the food and space is consistantly available: Animals will keep getting bigger and finding loopholes or work arounds the "square-cubed" law.

>I heard lobster can get fuck HUGE.

Lobsters are immortal in the sense that they can't die from old age, but can be killed.

Lobsters go through a brief and abrupt growing period during their first few years of development, but then slow down and grow very slowly, but steadily throughout their lives.

Theoretically: a lobster if left to it's own devices will grow and grow until it crushes itself with it's own weight.
The largest lobsters caught were pushing 200 years and almost over 50lbs.

We don't yet quite know the soft or hard cap to a lobsters growth.

Physically impossible. At a size like that their skin would boil, it would take 5 minutes for reactions to reach their brain, and that's assuming they have no skeletons/veins which basically just break.

>Physically impossible.

Every 10 years some asshole in acadamia says something is physically impossible for nature to replicate and then has to fucking take it back because we found some worm or a new dinosaur skeleton.

We don't know everything.
Science and Biology are being written in real time.

LIFE, UH, FINDS A WAY.
Just chill out and hope our world isn't arbitrarily destroyed by some weird fucking alien that lays it's eggs in suns and eats planets.

Academia is Wrong.
Academia is Disinfo.

I misread this as "Dinofoes" and thought for a moment you were implying Academia was secretly run by vindictive dinosaurs.
>>
>>336443617
breathing water looks physically impossible if you don't know about fish, but they're adapted to that, same could be with space creatures, specially considering planets can be extremely different so in such a "weird" ecosystem animals could develop a totally different anatomy to what we know

Breathing water is no less possible than breathing in the first place. It's all about chemical reactions. Oversized biological matter breaks the laws of physics.

>>336443957
Who'd ever imagine anything could reproduce without specifically a man and a woman? Fucking magic.
>>
>>336446453
Easily the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my entire life. Flowers existed four hundred million years before the first dinosaur's ancestor came to be.

The earth is only 10000 years old or so, it was perfectly possible for Dinosaurs to live along side humans before God cleansed the earth with the flood. Dinosaurs were beings of increasing corruption after the fall of Eve, so were not permitted to survive in the cleansed world.

I don't know why people bother with these rumors anymore when all games have been datamined to shit.

I mean, come on, not even religious folk think the world is 10,000 years old anymore.

That's an antiquated concept, like the Earth being flat or being the center of the universe (well, it still is, relatively).
>>
>>336450997
He means not at all since their bodies fail, just like ours, but for other reasons.

Some jellyfish are immortal though since they can regenerate. If you want to call that living.

>>336451157
The girl who voice the tiny dinosaur was shot in the head by her jealous father, I think that's a bit more depressing.

Some jellyfish. As in only one.
