Not all prog rock is bad. Sure there's some absolute shit in the genre but King Crimson is actually pretty solid.

Planescape: Torment without a doubt. I don't even know why, but it makes perfect sense.
I dunno, the fact that it's perfect and short makes me think of Ori, but Ori was the perfect example of a metroidvania that didn't bring anything new to the table; and from what I gather CotCK was super progressive.
So, short, perfectly executed mechanically and brought to light a new genre?
Maybe Demons' Souls? I mean, we are seeing a million Souls likes.
Actually, probably Castlvania 1 or Megaman 2.
Did anyone else think that Nuclear (as in the song from the MGSV trailer) sounded a lot like Epitaph?

There's literally prog rock threads on here every week. They usually start off with an anon asking if there's any video game character who could defeat Tarkus.

Dude just gets out of time, shit happens as normal (as if he didn't), then he gets back, but due to Epitaph he knows what WILL happen (after he gets out; nothing happens to him who got out.

Add to that, the creator says now that he designed the game to be "bad," much like Tommy Wiseau.

Nobody "defends" The Room's flaws. People like it because it's a hilarious failure.
