But the numbers do add up if you consider that Dota 2 usually has 5-15k viewers on Twitch and league has 6-150k regularly. Valve claims that Dota 2 has over 10 million active players and Riot claims that their game has a 65 million and the Twitch numbers confirm those numbers.

realistically speaking league is the noob-friendly game that chicks also play. That doesnt make it better in any way. If icefraud knows something is making in-depth mechanics while league is as deep as a paddle in terms of gameplay.

By your logic Dota 2's numbers don't make sense at all, 15k people while there are 10000000 that play the game. The only way they don't make sense is that League actually has more than 65mil players which is very likely since the last official numbers from Riot are almost 3 years old.
And don't get started on the in-game spectate, we all know nobody watches anything else except tournament in there so it doesn't count towards the average viewership
