Remember me?

People actually thought they'd play Skyrim and Grand Theft Auto for free on this, and paid massive Kickstarter bucks for it
Could have been decent if not for shitty community handling and poor marketing/jackasses in the industry

I bought one. It would have been great in the era of the PS2, but Sony/Microsoft game stores were already open to indie games in the modern era so the business model of the Ouya was pointless.
>>336344429
They didn't promise triple a games on there. They promised mobile games on the couch and that indie developers would be able release their games on it easily
get ready for nostalgia bomb
>>336344679
And whenever people said "will I be able to play GTA V on this" the creators simply said "we hope so!" as if it was possible
It shouldn't have used android in the first place
I got an Ouya from a contest I entered before it came out. The thing has been sitting unused since. I found out recently about the Cyanogen Mod 11 for it, and it turned it into, essentially, an Android TV. It works for multimedia purposes extremely well. If you already have one and are looking for a use for the damn thing, this is definitly it. If you want something along those lines and DON'T have one, there are much cheaper alternatives Like the Amazon Fire TV (Don't get the Fire Stick, as the lack of Ethernet port makes anything that runs your own media as opposed to streaming run like a piece of shit).
>>336344698
is that the game streaming thing where you pay as you play?

>ouya

>>336344429
No I thought it'd be a decent sit down on the couch and emulate games from an easy to use interface, turns out emulation on the thing is dog shit though and the controller is made out of recycled plastic chopsticks
>>336344429
>$60 for a game
>$99 for no games
which one would you choose?
>>336345175
I thought fat people were supposed to be happy.
>>336344429
Trust a women

It's not bad for the price.
Everytime I see someone ragging on Ouya I think 'Oh, hey, look, another """"""gamer""""" who plays the latest fps or arpg and only cares about the graphics'.
The games on Ouya work perfectly for the kind of system it is. I've had more fun playing it than I have on PS2. The mechanics on Ouya games are simple and easy to learn, making it a great social console. Not only that, but the games are often original and genuinely fun.
>>336346436
I've got a phone, that's enough.
>>336346436
>I've had more fun playing it than I have on PS2.
Are you okay in the head anon? I have serious doubts people would actually shill for the fucking Ouya.
>>336346229
>Ouya, more like Uno
>women in tech
Always a fraud
>>336347520
And let's not forget this one
>>336347772
>harsh
Bitch was running a massive fucking scam.
>>336344698
What's that game?
Think I should know but drawing a blank.
>>336348012
But she was backed by Kissinger and all the tech media loved her for being a young self-made female billionaire that don't need no men or education
>>336348128
Looks like UT to me.
For some reason I want to actually own an Ouya just so I have a piece of gaming history where it's an overhyped failure.
>>336345175
>"maybe the manual will tell me how great an idea this was..."
>"...no"
LOL pure gold
>>336345175
lol@the first comment
>Did you at least get your money back with this YT video you made?
>I got enough to buy a second Ouya. I bought it with the intention of doing a giveaway. Every winner didn't want it, they all agreed I should keep it. So I have two Ouyas.
>>336346229
I'm soo glad I never backed this piece of shit, it was doomed from the start!
>mfw pseudo-intellectual redditors thought this would be amazing
>mfw they all got blown the fuck out
