Other than that the germans play the same COD bullshit as all the others do. But of course german shooters are often censored. Left 4 Dead no gore and corpses despawn before they hit the ground.

It's mostly the same mainstream stuff or whatever is popular on social media right now. People do trend towards stuff like RTS or older games more, but the rest is mostly the same.
People from my guild are mostly talking about Dark Souls 3, The Division, Hearthstone, LoL etc.
As for made, the Gothic series and Far Cry were made here afaik. Spec Ops: The Line is also made by a German studio. The Divininity games were mostly made in Belgium, but some of the later ones like Original Sin were also produced in Germany, mostly for a lack of staff elsewhere.
