i play games every day, and i love all kinds of videos games. new and old.
ive bought 4 different consoles so far this year, just to play different older exclusives.
Why would I install an OS that's a hassle to use, where nothing works out of the box and where getting support consists of begging forums full of unemployed neckbeards with superiority complex to look at your logs, on my home PC which is supposed to help me relax after a long day at work?

Let me guess, you play on consoles because the concept of installing games is scary to you?
I dual boot Arch and Windows 10, use Windows for gaymes and Arch for everything else. My goal was to download all my Linux-compatible games on Linux and learn Wine for everything that works well, but I can't be bothered really. Windows just werks for newer games, yeah DOSbox on Linux is really good but Wine is shit for newer games and I can never max out performance on AAA games.

I've managed it, but I mainly play a few games that I focus on and not many of them are really demanding on performance, and all of them were linux-native.
Which is really kind of too bad because my system is well equipped for Wine performance with Gallium Nine which can provide very fast performance on the open source AMD drivers.
