It's so much better, as is usual for anime adaptations of visual novels.
Not so usual though is that the anime for this one is actually somewhat good, but still, the vn is better.
It's also very long, and for obvious reasons to those who have read it already, the anime basically doesn't even touch the Kyou and Tomoyo routes since they're flat out impossible to integrate into the anime for reasons, and Tomoyo best girl.
