Anyone going to a anime/vidya con this month?
Is it even worth going to?

Prepare to cringe.
Videogame cons tend to be less cringey though. Although I've seen some shit with just one visit with a bunch of friends.
I am going with a friend. We have no idea what to expect

No because I don't have IRL friends near me
;_;
I went with a few friends every year since 2012. They are fun if you have others to shit around with, but less so if you're alone with autists

I went once a few years back, it wasn't that great.
Gaming cons can be a bit better, since you can actually do stuff there.

Subtlety falls short on you OP doesn't it?

I just got back from Dokomi, an anime con in Dusseldorf, Germany. It was cool, but they really, really need to do something about the endless queues and overcrowding.
It was worth it only because I live in Dusseldorf, so it would have been a crime to not go.
Imho, if a con has more than a few thousand attendees, it's too big. My fondest memories are from RBW (~300 people), and Eurofurence (~1000 people).
I'm going to AX in July. Should be fun cos a shitload of my friends are also going.
