Doing a Trusty Patches cosplay run on DaS1. Getting that Eagle Shield from the back entrance of blighttown as soon as I started was fun.
Can't wait to play through the game without being able to parry. Maybe I'll even be able to PVP.

did my first playthrough as a shirtless manly pure caestus run, since my caestus run in ds2 was so fun
it was the most god awful unfun shit i've ever forced myself to endure
>You can't stunlock 90% of enemies, they just attack through your punches
>You can't stunlock players, because it counts your 1-2 dual wield combo as two individual swings, so you do essentially of what is already absolutely shit damage, even at +10, and that's if you even manage to hit a player, fists range are obviously atrocious and the punches themselves are fairly slow in comparison to the sharp 1-2 combo from ds2. Not to mention the startup on the first punch is greatsword tier for some sadistic reason.
>Some enemies are absolute nightmares since your fist hitbox is also a hurtbox, enemies that have spastic flail moves i.e 4 winged harpies or those birdcages full of limbs just shut you down because you can't land a hit without at very least trading or getting stunlocked
>Infinite stamina enemies are out of the question, shit like the outrighter knights were fucking horrible to take on, pontiff nights too.
>bosses take fucking forever due to shit damage, and unreliable hitboxes on caestus, in some cases making you completely miss the boss because they have a strange stance, Dancer was probably the worst for this, only landed 50% of my hits.
i'd honestly not even bother. It was so antifun it made my second run feel fucking amazing because i wasn't handicapping myself with such a fucking unbalanced, ignored weapon.

I had trouble with Aldrich's arrow bullshit, whether you survive or not depends solely on luck. If gwyndolin casts the giant soul spear, you're basically dead. Video is how I killed him
