>pepper wanted you abandon peppy
What the fuck?
>>336146372
Pepper was the true villain.
Or at least, I think he was supposed to be, the game shows shades of deeper moral ambiguity but lmao its unfinished so they dont do jack shit with it.
>TRAVEL FROM PLANET TO PLANET TO REACH VENOM
>lol jk we have a massive teleporter on corneria that can transport you there
>>336146372
Its war.
He probably wanted you to proceed with your important mission instead of risking all dying as well over one soldier
This is what they call 'the greater good'
Well the alternate route on Titania, Peppy was alright. Peppy obviously knows about the portals, so maybe he told Pepper to convince the team to not come so he could investigate the portal on his own.

What were they talking about here? I've played the entire game and this shit never goes anywhere.
Didn't peppy die in the GCN Starfox game?

Thanks
this is all I feel like posting.

Pepper didn't want anyone to find out that he built the teleporters with Andross, since they are now being used to cause chaos.
>hey fox we developed the ability to instantly transport thousands of military units across all reaches of the galaxy for complete takeover of the Lylat System almost overnight all in the name of peace!
Tell me this doesn't sound off.
PEPPY LONG TIME NO SEE

ANDROSS' ENEMY
IS MY ENEMY
>>336146597
This, feels like either shit was rushed or Miyamoto's told them to fuck off with their "story" bullshit and content was scrapped.
>>336151251
>We must use that to transport resources to other planets and set up our defenses so we can instantly fight back any threat
>Andross then uses it to transport his shit to Corneria and to other planets across Lylat System
Reminds me of Star Wars somehow

ANNOYING BIRD
I AM THE GREAT LEON!
>>336149524
He kamikaze'd a shield in Assault, but he turns out to be fine in the end
In the same game he actually saves Pepper from a crash landing despite retiring from pilot duty
>>336146372
Military commanders understand that every soldier can't be saved. Merc groups (or whatever Fox's group is) do their own thing (that's what makes them better than the military) and can see the value in every one of their pilots
How the fuck was a teleportation device going to bring "peace to the galaxy"? How does James McCloud fit into all of this, since Pepper does mention that they could have never have banished Andross if it weren't for him.
>>336146597
How would a teleporter bring peace to the galaxy?
Also, that is one of the most ham fisted attempts at moral ambiguity I've ever seen. There's no grey area for "peace", it's just a lack of content.
>hurrr but what does it REALLY mean???
fuck off
>>336157740
Lack of conflict I mean.Or maybe Star Fox Zero is really peaceful :^)
>>336149981
>He went bananas
FUCK. Every time.
>>336157740
>Also, that is one of the most ham fisted attempts at moral ambiguity I've ever seen.
Given regular Japanese writing mixed with Miyamoto's particular brand of hatred towards storytelling, it's almost surprising that it isn't even worse than this.
>"Trust your view from the cockpit"
I want to slap whoever thought this line should be put in.
>>336157740
>How would a teleporter bring peace to the galaxy?
By being able to teleport your fleet anywhere.
>hurrr but what does it REALLY mean???
Nick Fury: After New York, I convinced the World Security Council we needed a quantum surge in threat analysis. For once we're way ahead of the curve.
Steve Rogers: By holding a gun at everyone on Earth and calling it protection.
No, I don't think it's stupid like you think. It's simple, but I think it still went over your head so you thought it was half baked and shitty.
WHY WAS THE GIGARILLA THE KEY TO VICTORY?
WHY DID I HAVE TO FIGHT IT IF I SECURED IT AT AREA 3?
>>336157387
>James found out about Andross after he was banished and was killed when he went there to investigate the strange activity
>Venom was reduced to an asteroid after SF64 events
>They thought everything was fine
>Andross rebuilt the teleportation device in the remains of Venom so he could once again reach Corneria and get his revenge by bringing Pepper to him
>The final boss is basically what remained from Andross after being destroyed by Fox in 64, the proof is: when you're outside the mirror tower, you see his "human" self, like he was alive and perfectly fine, but once you enter the tower, there's a reconstructed metallic face and hands
>James helped Fox in both events, but Andross only noticed he was "alive" (at least his ghost) in Zero
>James sacrificed himself so at least Peppy could made back to Corneria and inform Pepper and Fox about what was going on. If he didn't sacrifice himself, everyone would die there and Cornerian army would never have information about Andross and his plan
>Zero refers to events from SF64 as "Lylat Wars"
>Pepper banished Andross to another fucking dimension
Isn't that a little...extreme?
Why is Andross always a disembodied head?
You even see his full body model in Zero, but then you get to him and nope hes a head again
>>336159328
Biotech experiments on himself.
>>336158995
The Lylat Wars started five years prior to the game and continued through to present day. Star Fox 64 never happened within the context of Zero.
>>336153902
But Shiggy himself said that the game was delayed to flesh out the story.
>>336158298
Its a hint to the player that cockpit view shows where the openings in Andross's glass dome are.
>>336155510
CAN'T LET YOU DO THAT, STAR FOX
>>336160919
A simple "Trust your instincts." would have sufficed. The fact that he continues to say it even after you've entered the dome once is pretty obnoxious too.
Is fox really a fox?
