Regardless of it being a crit, the ordinary buckshot round never can kill something other than lvl1 enemies with one round because buckshot does affect the spread. Notice how a shotgun's damage is calculated with some kinda formula like 7.6x4 or something. Slugs sends the entirety of damage all in one round. Its better suited for a high damage shotgun that doesn't have a choke.

One thing about the game is that your movement speed choices are either an agonizingly slow glide or a slow motion jog, I couldn't imagine having to sneak up on everyone to kill them. You can't even sprint to charge someone.
I like stealth movement and will spend 10 minutes silently stalking one enemy in Thief or other games but after slow jogging across the desert I don't want anymore of that in the combat.

The Stimpak weight is pretty low and ammo always had weight in Hardcore

I like quest mods simply because more content is normally good, if nothing else a simple extra dungeon or whatever with no real story behind it could make a nice challenge. The problem is most quest modders think "wow suuu randum" Makes a good funny quest and "Everyone is screwed" Makes a good dramatic quest.

Although I think companion mods are pretty good all around especially ones that aren't lore breaking and actually have them comment on things you do. I might actually make one for my own personal use (We really need a well written legion follower, and an independent who stays unlike arcade.)

I wish that The Strip was way bigger and that there was a more stark difference between it and the outside wasteland. I wish that there was a bigger difference between clothing and wasteland outfits. Like you had to be properly dressed to enter the casinos. More suits and dresses. Clothing should have even more of an effect on how NPCs react. No Mad Max outfits or power armour allowed in high class places. It would also be cool to have more people with you instead of running around with 1-2 followers. Just henchmen.
Also looking at the burned out cars I wanted to cruise around (slow speed) in an atomic cadillac with Cass and some hired cowboy thugs on horseback behind. A trunk full of weapons.

18th century soldiers carried a second clean shirt to wear on sunday, and all they had was what they carried in their leather backpack. I'm sure the NCR soldiers could include a single pair of civilian clothes in their kit.

If I was making a legion companion I would probably start with them being a newer younger member. I'm thinking something ceaser would throw on you saying he is going to keep watch on you. He wouldn't know anything but legion ideals and would be pretty surprised by most non wasteland like areas. He would be best in melee starting with a machete and a few spears, using rifles when it comes to distance. He would be attacked on sight by ncr unless put into alternate clothes. He would react negatively to helping ncr in their quests (unless a speech check is passed saying its to lure them into a sense of security) He would talk of the good of the legion, how much land it has and how much power it brings, saying that it is better for the wasteland to be unified into the legion then to continue its attempts at survival.
His personal quest would involve him starting to doubt the legion. Seeing various other settlements and factions surviving better. It would either end with him saying the legion, despite it's flaws is still better. Or that he is done with them but will still fight with you.
Perk for leaving the legion: Eyes opened: Bonus to chem use and energy weapons
Perk for staying: Ave Caesar: Bonus to melee weapons, spears, and all non chem healing items and poisons.
