Bloodborne fast paced combat with little variety is fun at the beginning, but spamming circle to abuse iFrames becomes tedious at the end of the game. Guns are completely broken, camera goes crazy because of large bosses, farming blood vials is a horrible idea. I also didn't feel the urge to start NG+ before the dlc arrived.

Just spamming circle will get you killed, you have to time your dodges or you get rekt anyway. How are guns broken? They don't do shit unless you have a bloodtinge build and use bone marrow ash. Camera goes crazy because of large bosses in ALL Souls games. Having to gather blood vials when I got stuck was kinda shitty on my first playthrough, but that was the only time I needed to. It's clunkier in that you can only roll in the four directions for example. When leaving messages you have one long list of a few hundred options for things to write which is kinda annoying but hardly gamebreaking. Lots of quality of life changes and UI upgrades have come to the series since.
The game does not require you to iframe things to the same extent as Dark Souls and beyond, which is good in my opinion. In many ways I like it more. It somehow feels snappier and faster than later games. The atmosphere is perhaps the best in the series aswell. Unfortunately, you can hoard/farm the healing grasses so you can have a huge buffer when entering more difficult areas, which fucks the balance a bit. The inclusion of Estus in DaS was genius.
Been a while since I played it so can't remember much. I wouldn't buy a console for it, but if you have a PS3 and a hankering for more Souls it's deffo worth it if you can find it.

Bosses are bigger and faster, but your dodge is short af. In most situations I was forced to spam circle to move away or iFrame through their wild combos. Some bosses require good timing, but in most cases you are safe if you just keep spaming circle after dodging the initial attack.
Guns are broken because most of them do very little damage, parries are too easy and NPCs have unlimited ammo.
I agree that camera can't handle larger enemies in all Souls games, that's why I can't comprehend their decision to make BB bosses so big without fixing this issue.

DaS2 (after DLC): 7/10 because main game still was meh at best.
Bloodborne: 9/10, Chalice Dungeons and bad PVP spoils it, but I don't see it as action rpg like Souls game, more like action with RPG elements. Best and most cuhrayzee gameplay.
DaS3: 8/10, most polished game, finishes Souls trilogy quite niceley. Doesn't fill unique at this point though, more like a best-of, but a damn nice one.
