What was said about Fable?
I only heard about Fable after it was released, and when I played it was very nice for me at the time, problably to this day is one of my favorite RPGs (perhaps too short).
But people that heard tha announcements about the game talk about it as a huge disappointment.

MGS5 and Watch Dogs are both perfectly good games
But peoples expectations were way too fucking high so they felt disappointed.
I'd make the case that DNF is also a decent game without the hype.
FF15 and Last Guardian will be the next big games that have too much hype to handle. They will be good, but you'll have people complain how disappointed they were.
Zelda is always hyped and met with criticism at the start and after a while people accept it

I just can't get over this game. As somebody who loved Halo up until 343 took over, I was really excited for Bungie's new game. It was supposed to be this expansive, somewhat open world game with a solar system to explore and secrets to uncover. It turned out to bean extremely linear grindfest, featuring Peter "Protect me while I hack this console" Dinklage.
And if you want a couple extra mission to play, you gotta hand over $20. A couple more missions and a new hub area? 40 fucking dollars.

I agree, however some of the mechanics with enemy health and such were really bad in MGS5, like how you could basically drop a nuke on a guy and he would still be alive, but if an enemy so much as punches the guy on your back its fucking over for him. Watch Dogs was great though. I think people just hated the graphics downgrades but if you play a game long enough the graphics dont matter. after like 200 hours in the game I cant imagine leaves blowing around on the street wouldve made a huge difference.
