So mine is probably High Lord Wolnir just because of how much I liked the look of it.

worst boss in the game hands down.
>hit hands to deal damage
>one hand clips underneath the ground
>pukes an inescapable fog that kills you
hes not hard, but the only time he manages to kill me is when he wastes time and clips me into the fog
>>
>>336004679
..Did you kill Siegward?
>>
>>336004679
>Yhorm the Giant
Only boss I've found my self having fun with, even though I died 4 or 5 times.
>>
>>336005728
I love this guy, getting chased around by a giant skeleton and his minions through an endless void, it's what Nito should have been.
>>
>>336004679
finally someone other than me that appreciates wolnir. he's a really cool guy (as long as he doesn't summon wheel skellies
>>
>>336006596
>I died 4 or 5 times.
>against yhorm
Fucking how?
I understand dying once since equipping and realizing how the sword works during the fight is shit.
But after you die you try it and fuck around with it at the bonfire until you figure out how it works.
And then he dies like a bitch.

Also, princes and SoC.
>>
I fucking loved Deacons of the deep.

Sure it is easy as fuck, but the setting made me love it.
>>
Princes was the best fight in a thematic sense.

Also it has an awesome score.
>>
Dancer of the Buttreal Valley was great.

Lothric and Lorian one-upped the Ludwig bossfight and became my favourite souls boss ever.

That's until I fought the final boss. Goddamn From, ya did it again, you absolute madmen.
>>
>>336007037

I died twice because I failed to realize the sword has to charge TWICE and not the initial little whirlywind charge
>>
>>336005728
Deacons is the worst boss.
>>
>>336007037
I actually knew what to do from the start because I saw my friend fight him, and I already had a Storm Ruler (Onion Man died when we fought the demon) but it wasn't until my second death where I decided to figure out what I was doing wrong with the sword.
Also I borrowed the game from my friend, I never played Souls before this, which is why I often die to bosses, first boss is the only one I beat first try.
>>
>>336007140

Agreed. Pissy cunts whine about a mob boss, but the music and setting makes it all worth it. I didn't have a large weapon to deal with the swathes of enemies either, so the fight actually took some effort my first time. It was enjoyable.

>>336007469

That is easily the Ancient Wyvern. You might as well not even consider it a boss, for its own sake.
>>
>>336007568
>You might as well not even consider it a boss
It doesn't even drop a soul so yeah.
>>
>>336007140
Criminally under rated boss. I just love the moment you step into the boss room expecting Aldritch and instead your surrounded by his men. They're not hard but they're fun to fight, it really gives you a chance to cut loose.
>>
Nameless King just because of the arena you fought him in. That was amazing.
>>
>>336007317
This, what a waifu to behold. Also, dodging to her moves is like participating in an unholy ritual of suicide with her only to "bond" with her enough so that you may be allowed the benefit of caressing her with your blade. Witnessing her slender curved forme slightly obscured by a long flowing veil, swaying to the heat of the ritual, with her two blades acting as an extension of herself. To feel her every move and rythmn like listening to a heart beat, to dance with her as a pair destined to slay on another.

I end my autism

>>336007568
It's just the level hazard boss like Dragon God, Bed of Chaos, and Chariot.

I don't mind the Wyvern since he's just a mid boss and you have the option to fight him head on if you feel like it, he's better than Dragon God and BoC. Chariot is still the only one of those that's actually a cool boss.
>>
>>336007851
No it doesn't. It drops a rock.
>>
>>336007891

Fair enough. Chariot is definitely the best of that variety.
>>
Oceiros fight was pretty good, easy but athmospheric
Soul of Cinder demolished me for many, many tries, great fight
Sadly I shat all over the Champ before really getting to know his moveset
Nameless would have been GOATest but fighting that stupid bird over and over made me dislike it

you mean the fog with the massively telegraphed animation beforehand?
>>

Huh. Never noticed that.
>>
>>336005781
First dark souls game, looked like an onion.
Wish I could go back :(
>>
Honestly, I liked the Pope and Friends fight. The boss room, the way the boss worked, just everything was great.
>>
>>336010684
Also now that I think on it, it's very rare for a group to actively work together to kill you in Souls games.
>>
>>336007881
I see this so often. Fucking carry a bow, attune any sort of ranged sorcery/miracle/pyromancy, or even a fucking throwing knife.
Also, invest in some fucking vigor, boy. Looks like you couldn't even survive one hit from Nameless King.
>>
>>336004679
ehr the lothric brothers, would add champion gundyr too but nigga can be parried to death so easily.
>>
>>336007327
>The incest porn is already happening
Oh yes.
I imagine Lothric would have to struggle in taking the dominant role considering Lorian's legs are mostly crippled. Or shit, Lorian could roughly fuck Lothric like on oversized onahole.

Evangelist of the Deep is the only real villain organization in the series, since every other villain group is usually half destroyed and doing their own thing (Like the Legion and the Demons in the same game). The Deep are really the first villain group who consistently opposes you throughout the game. I like it.

Incidentally favorite boss.

Really don't get all the retards shitting on "gimmick bosses", Wolnir was very easy but he was really cool looking, the way his fight was him scrambling to escape where you entered from was cool, and the way you destroy his only protection from the abyss and then the huge skeleton boss monster gets pulled away, utterly terrified was awesome.

Every boss being a mechanical, challenging, "muh false allant, muh artorias" fight gets fucking boring and gimmick bosses can make for a nice change of pace. People shat on the Witch of Hemwick, Micolash, and Rom, but I loved them and they are some of the reasons I think BB has the best bosses in the series, it strikes a perfect balance between gimmick bosses and mechanically good bosses.

If you stand on the outside of his arms instead of between them the fog literally cannot touch you.
>>
Why are some dudes just plain big dudes in Souls games?
>>
>>336012767
So that they look more imposing to the player. Some like Ornstein have the excuse of "they became so powerful they physically grew larger" but it's generally just enemy design 101.
>>
>>336012847
I'm not talking about why they are big esthetically. What's the lore reason that you just find large humans randomly?
>>
>>336012941
I just told you, there's no lore reason most of the time, it's just so that they are more imposing.

That's bullshit. If they got larger as they got more souls I could understand. But none of the MCs in the Souls games get physically larger, even though they gather vastly more souls than others.
>>
>>336004679
Abyss Watchers
Would say Dancer as well but my FPS was kill during that fight which made it pain in the ass

>>336013125
And what's up with this dude?
>>336004679
Even the Dragon King wasn't that big. Was he just a massive human? Or did he become a giant skeleton after he died? How does this shit work?
>>
>>336013551
Not to mention, how does anyone else outside of the MCs ever use the souls they gain? Don't you need someone to channel those souls into power? What the fuck.
>>
>>336013125
>>336013551
It does seem to be implied the more powerful something is, the larger it is. But it's not always the case, and it could very well be that those with a numerous amount of souls are able to, more or less, control their growth. But the ones that are hollow or mindless just kind of grow since they don't care and/or wouldn't have control over it.
There are plenty of tiny little holes in the lore like that, intentional or otherwise. Miyazaki has always been the sort of guy to leave players guessing, as he did reading the western literature that inspired him to make games like the Souls series.

>>336013782
It's implied in Demon's Souls that consuming souls raw and unabated leads to deformation, like the "Goblins" in Valley of Defilement. Those guys are basically Proto-Hollows, and were once humans that became grotesque, beak-nosed creatures with distended stomachs. Likely gorged with souls.
Then there's King Allant himself, who Aldrich bears a striking resemblance to.
The Maiden in Black, and the Fire Keepers that came after her, don't just inject the souls into you, they temper your soul with the souls you provide.

While I hated Dancer's cheap infinite stamina spins, the music combined with the rhythmic footsteps and the veil floating behind her were very cool indeed.
>>
>>336012584
I agree, except I think DaS 3 does it better pacing between different kinds of bosses. BB's pretty great at it too though.
>>
>>336010684

But deacons are just a combination of Royal Rat Vanguard and Prowling Magus and the Congregation. And everyone hated those two above all else.

Is Dragonslayer armor even stable in coop? I let myself get summoned like ten times now. There's lag out of the ass and most of the time connect is lost. Phantoms dying left and right. Had two successful sessions. Other bosses are fine, it's just this area.
