The combat system looks really interesting to me with some timed button presses mixed in and terrain/positioning matters quite a lot. The team building aspect also seems neat.

I didn't play it much because I was playing on emulator and everything seemed focused on building your squad up to use in multiplayer, something I figured wouldn't be possible.
The gameplay elements it had seemed like they'd be interesting enough to support a regular rpg, honestly, but they decided to take it one step further and made something I didn't play in its full glory because it never officially came out in the west.

Well I added a lot of games for a reason, it doesn't have a whole lot of elements from any one of them, just bits and pieces. In FE's case the feeling of recruiting/belonging to a guild and team-building
But for me the last two FEs were piss-easy and all the waifu pandering is pretty bland. This seems like a return to form with a greater focus on a tighter gameplay loop rather than all of the recent FE's distractions and gimmicks that don't add that much.
Where are you pre-ordering EOV from? Looking for somewhere not too overpriced for international shipping is hard.

From watching other reviews I think the game is a complete experience with the full campaign it has, even that reviewer put a disclaimer noting it felt like a full story
It's a bit scummy to sell it in parts, but perhaps it's actually intended to be post-game DLC and not parts removed from it, at least from what I remember no review said it was short. As long as I get my money's worth, I'm happy
