Am I the only one who when they fought this boss did not look at the boss at all after the first few tries but at its reflection in the water? It helped me not fall off the ledge but it also made me feel like I was fighting a medusa like creature and if I looked at it I'd turn to stone. I know a hydra and medusa are very different but every time I fight this boss I always do that.
Anyone else? Makes me feel like hero.

Thats kinda cool I guess
Those hydras are the spookiest enemies in the game. You could see the one in the forest writhing around from so far away. Creeped me the fuck out, then you run the gauntlet of projectiles and crystal golems to reach it. I don't know if it was a glitch but I cut off all the heads once and it was still alive. Had to plink it to death with shitty wooden arrows to finish it.

I've never been able to get the last head with a sword. I always have to shoot it off..

Yeah you are the only one anon. I usually just cheese him after I get dragonslayer bow. Same with the one in Ash Lake.
Game has enough human bosses. Name one monster boss that you'd want to return in the DLC for DS3.
I want the Chimera back from DS1, he was cool.
