I'm lost OP. How does ARMA 3 have artificial difficulty?
Also pic related for Fallout 4's difficulty settings. It did nothing but change damage and HP with difficulty level changes. A cheap solution to actually improving the AI for each level of difficulty.

Campaign. It's fun without much of a HUD or waypoints because you spend as much time shooting as you do looking for your team or doing land navigation.
Online pub lobbies usually are go to X place, kill enemies there, oh btw learn to pilot and fly people there and ever shoot anybody if you want. Then you have Wasteland where you can murder players and get sniped without ever knowing who shot you and I'm not even going to mention the spergfest of Altis life. Pic related from ARMA 2. Spent 15 minutes driving to a side objective, 5 minutes crawling up a mountain, and then organized an airstrike with somebody flying a fighter. Didn't shoot a single person in an hour.

You can just import all of Arma 2's assets with a bunch of prepacked mods that popular servers use. It is a lot better than 2.
