>There are people on this board who never played call of duty in its 'prime'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vWPZIGYF2shonestly, there are better shooters, and if this doesn't get mod support, it will die after a year.
I remember playing it when it came out. It was fun for a couple of hours. It wasn't that good. It never held a candle to cs 1.6 or quake.
Maps. That's it.
If CoD's level of mobility was standard (it is for A level games like Titanfall and whatever), if there is or isn't dodging and boosts, if there's a perfect array of perks and streak rewards -- whatever.. the maps make the game playable or not.
Feel free to ask about all of this pic as well or just the map stuff.

Games would do well to minimize +points and UI.

CoD's "prime" was in 2003-04, as in CoD1 and UO.
After that, it took a nose-dive to shitpile, and hasn't stopped ever since.

campaign wise they've yet to top the sniper mission in Chernobyl
MP wise, they've yet to top MW2. All they've done is clone it for years and recently the trend is to clone titanfall sans titans.

MW2 was extremely unbalanced. I wonder how they will remaster that

I'm not saying it wasn't, I'm just saying they've yet to innovate the PvP since then. The transition from MW to MW2 was such a huge leap forward, none of the subsequent games had the same amount of overhaul.

you're right, but I don't go back and play it as much as i do with cod4. I'd say cod4 has more 'consistently good' maps, rather than a few good ones, and is less frustrating if you're on the losing team.
