Agreed, but why do the archetypes have to be grounded in reality? As past has shown, you can make entirely succesful game without any human characters, or set in completely fantastical setting.
And why are we looking at questions of sexuality? In most games that won't have effect on gameplay, and even in real life people most often have variety of interests in addition to their sexuality. When asked what they are interested in, most people probably name quite few things before getting to kind of people that they are attracted to.
This isn't to say that I'm in opposition to better sexy games. Hell, I'd love to see more eroge with actually good gameplay.
