Genuine question, why do people care so much about PVP in Souls games?
I just don't understand it, personally I don't engage in online beyond messages, infact I played DeS completely offline (although not by choice). I understand if you like the concept of invading/summoning but to me it just looks like an interesting addition to the game and not a serious, balanced or integral part of it that you would actually get annoyed at the etiquette of other players. The world is designed for single player and the netcode makes combat a complete shit show sometimes.
My experience of the online is to help someone on a boss or to occasionally invade, then try and kill them as quickly as possible or mess with them, whatever, the point is that it's just for the shits and giggles stop taking it so serious.

Best one for me was myself an another Aldrich Faithful killing our way through two phantoms to get to the host. He runs back to the starting area, obviously looking for more summon signs. He does a lap of the area after Sully's boss room, which seems to suggest he wasn't finding any. On the second lap, I get the message 'Summoning another Dark Spirit.'
In his desperation, the host has chosen to summon a duelist in the hope that he'll help fight off the Faithful.
I'm not sure what would have been funnier, the summoned Dark Spirit helping attack the host or what he actually did which was pause to survey his surroundings, calmly walk out of the battle and sit down and watch.
