I can't remember much of anything sad except for playing through MGSV in general. I was involved in a car crash about 2 years ago. Was in a coma for about a week and a half. Lost every single memory up to the car crash. Had to learn how to walk, speak, and even shit right again because I fucking lost the memory of how to fucking do any of that stuff.
It was around the release of MGSV that I actually was able to go back to my home. I remember looking around my room and seeing all the stuff I had when I was still me before that car crash. I noticed my computer and turned it on to look at the stuff I had on it. Noticed that it automatically logged me into something called "Steam". Looked around and realized that I was a crazy video game fan and that the only thing I had on my "wish list" was MGSV. So I bought it after watching the trailer and seeing the coma stuff because it really resonated with me.
I played that game constantly. Sucked at it because I didn't really know how to play video games anymore but after a while I got back into the swing of things if I was ever good at games. But playing through that game in general made me feel a connection to the self of me before that nothing else made me feel.
And of course I browsed the internet and found that my most frequented website was "4chan" and a subset of that website called "/v/-Video Games" and I've been browsing ever since. I know this story is dumb but I just wanted to get it off my chest because I felt that you guys would understand.

It's the realization that Max simply cannot move on to live a new life with Mona or any other kind of normal life, whether it be himself not letting him or the world preventing from reaching a new life. He has done nothing morally wrong, at least in the sense he only did what he had to do to survive or eliminate evil. Yet he can never get what he actually deserves.
Considering how every other supporting character in series had died by the end of 2, Max had nothing to do but sit at a bar for years until Passos shows up and indirectly gets him to confront another great evil in 3. Also by the end of 3, Max seems to accept that he cannot move on and decides to might as well take pleasure in killing scumbags and the people in his way in lieu of the fantastic airport level and his choice to go through the front of the airport instead of the back where it would have been easier.
This acceptance within Max mainly flew under the radar for so many players, because they don't understand Max's character, because they didn't play the 2nd game, as it did the worst sales-wise, which is a tragedy, like Max himself.
I'm sorry for this rant but this is why I love the series so much. I could go on for even longer, but it's like 1:30 AM.
My point is that this alternate ending is the only mere glimpse of Max getting what he deserves, for his pain to end.

I was just thinking about this scene earlier.The entire last segment in Okami was feels after feels. Issun saying goodbye to Ammy and then restoring her godhood. Then there's also Ushiwaka and the moon tribe. The ending itself also made me feel simply because the game was over. I never wanted it to end.

I think what really hits you with this game is all the clues it gives you leading up to the ending. At the end I felt like it had no right to be as good as it was but then I looked back at the clues and the game was telling me all along what to expect.
