Could Melee be on of the highest, if not the highest, competitive 1v1 video game in terms of skill ceiling and skill required to be good at a competitive level? A lot of people talk about it being not a real fighting game, but I don't think that matters because of how much if offers in terms of technicality that traditional fighting games can't offer. What are some games higher than Melee in this regard?Who's your main and why are other people faggots for maining other characters?

MvC2 and Guilty Gear Accent Core are at least on par with Melee for high skill floor and ceiling.
Never underestimate fastflies, ROMs, reflies and just plain controlling your characters in general with fast and fluid movements.
