This game is so goddamn good. Yeah, some of the Batmobile parts are shit but most of the time I love having it and everything else is the absolute pinnacle of the series.

I love challenge maps and costumes. Probably didn't need Robin AND Nightwing, but I'm not going to complain. The Joker's Carnival challenge map was pretty cool, too. It was a nice mix-up to standard combat challenges. I spent that whole summer gettimg every achievement in the game except the Harley Quinn ones, because I'm not paying 15 bucks for an hour's worth of mediocre content.
The NES one is great.
I have;t had that much fun with a Batman game in god knows how long.

I guess later games might have technically improved upon the technical aspects and combat, but Asylum is still the best Batman game. Perfect pacing, best use of its setting, great level design in general, perfect dark but comic-y atmosphere that evoked Burton and Timm while being its own thing.
My favorite batman is still the NES one though.

the batmobile was annoying and brought the game down for me overall, but I enjoyed certain puzzly parts where you remotely controlled it inside interior environments. I just wish the puzzles themselves weren't so on-rails and easy.
