Good thing I never really "finished" it. I beat the main quest and the Civil War story and then left it at that. The fact that you can't actually have classes in an Elder Scrolls game was a turn off at the time.

Most RPGs are meant to be played multiple times with different characters but Skyrim was made so you sink tons of hours into 1 character. Skyrim replays are always boring because nothing changes, no matter what kind of character you play and what choices you make.

I think it has more to do with the fact that, during your initial playthrough, you can do literally everything with one character. Oblivion was the same way for me. The second playthrough is hard to do because you already did EVERYTHING in the first playthrough. Bethesda designs their games so that there aren't any consequences for decisions. Everything will always be the same.The only pleasure I get from TES games now is watching my GF play through them because she's never played Skyrim before and is now obsessed with it.

That's because you're trying to play the base game. Mod it and use it as a walking or hunting or, if you're into it, waifu simulator. I tried reinstalling recently and skipped Whiterun entirely. I got to the hold and took the first bus to Winterhold. Now I'm going around casting explosions all over the place. Life has never been better in Tamriel.

I was actually planning on starting a new game again, so I'll roll.I'm only doing it because Skyrim is basically only fun when you're high and I just bought a big bag of weed.

Shallow's the right word for it. Skyrim and all the places within it might be a lot of area to cover, but there's hardly any depth to it. I mean, the only real choice in the matter is the civil war, but that hardly changes anything. It also doesn't help that you can lead everything and that your race doesn't factor into shit.
