What is your all time favorite side quest in a video game?
>>
I hate Skyrim, but that hangover side quest with the demon of debauchery was pretty neat.
>>
getting bit by a vampire or the final thief guild quest in Oblivion, but I think they're only my favorites because Oblivion was my first open-world RPG after I built my first PC in 2006

either the boat one in oblivion or tolerating noober

The Elder Scroll one

Probably the Countess in D2, if you can call that a side quest

you aren't bitten by a vampire, you just contract the disease by staying in close proximity to them

unless you're talking about the DB dude that offers his 'gift' to you

did they finally make a quest board or at least clean up shit in /tg/? It was fucking unbearable when I was there last
>>
>>335783774
The boat is really good I have to say
First time experiencing it was incredible

Speaking of oblivion I have to say my favorite quest was Whodunnit for the dark brotherhood. I must have reloaded a dozen times just to hear the different accusations hurled around and see the different prejudices these people had for different races. It was such a solid quest
>>
>>335784114
they did, there's still a few lingering around /tg/ but it's actually bearable now
>>
>>335784114
yes gook moot is fixing /tv/ and /tg/ for some reason
still no fix for /v/ in sight

There's at least one person at Bethesda who is competent still and is in charge of making at least one good side quest per game.
>>
>>335784163
I know that a few QMs decided to run in /tg/ one last time to let people know about the new board. It should get better in the next weeks
>>
>>335784114
fucking hiroshima deleted /film/ and made >>>/qst/ instead. The fuck. I wanted to talk about pretentious art house cinema without baneposting and capeshit.
>>
>>335783620
RS doesn't really have all that many "side-quests"; they only release normal quests, nowadays, so can I use those?
If so, While Guthix Sleeps was a neato quest.
If not, then...I guess the Pamella mini-quest in Majora's Mask? It breaks my heart to leave her father like that.
>>
>>335784270
>without baneposting
What would even be the point?

What the fuck?

When did this happen? Is /tg/ good again?

the whole time i played when i first started playing i never slept on the boat for some reason so it blew my mind when i discovered it somewhat recently, especially after getting used to shitty mundane mmo quests in every rpg since then

There goes the last reason for quest threads to flood /tg/
>>
>>335784114
Yeah, the mods also made to sticky for suggestions on the new board some time ago on /tg/
At least with this, the tabletop players don't need to worry about their threads getting pruned fast.
>>
Great. Now the website raiders can start working on every other thread they don't like on /tg/ and getting it kicked off. They did it with /wst/, they've done it with quests, now it'll be cyoa, mtg and 40k.
>>
>>335784661
Tabletop fags were fine once they consolidated their threads, the problem was all the other tiny threads about little things that got pushed off the board. /tg/ is and has always been about those little things.

Bullshit. No one was happy with the last two Hildibrand quests. 10 minutes of Hildibrand after 6 months? Fucking jews.

The Hildibrand quest where you had to log off in bed for a few hours was kind of annoying because you couldn't just continue it then and there.
>>

I guess they should go but I'll be slightly sad to not see that shit popping up occasionally.

It would be a place for
1. waifu threads which are on /tv/
2. youtube e-celeb threads which are here on /v/
3. all other kind of threads about celebs or personalities

Cry me a fucking river.

Smutfaggots deserved to get kicked out for being obnoxious faggots who thought that their shit was gold, and belonged to a blue board. They can post their crap on /aco/ and /d/ just fine. No need to post that shit on /tg/.

And quests literally got a board made just for them, with unique features and shit to facilitate questing.

Well, at least for those that got enough recognition anyway. I remember Infinity and WarmaHordes Generals getting pushed out fast back then when they were still budding because of those. But still, all is good now, others will get a chance without those around.
Anyway
>>335783620
Ultimate Heist quest in Oblivion, couldn't get anymore hype than that. Neat reward too. That paintworld quest was also pretty nice too.
>>
>ultimate heist
>you realize that all of your quests and everything the Gray Fox has been doing was meant to prepare you for this final quest
>you invade the most well guarded places in Tamriel and steal one of its most valued possessions under everyone's noses
>motherfucking moth monks with katanas that detect you from noise rather than sight and are ready to slice you open
>you finally figure out the identity of the Gray Fox
>pretty crazy puzzles
Is there anything not to like? The whole Thieves questline was gold. The Gray Fox himself must have been walking among the Moth Monks to plan for that.
