I think so, yes. They even introduced DOD characters in that game of cards made by Square, Lord of Vermillion (pic related is Caim and Angelus, every character got a restyling)
Not just that, but Taro's games always have A TON of additional content: CD Drama, books, manuals, artbooks, comics. What he can't fit into one game ends up in some other medium, but that should rise the development budget. Where and how he gets the money and approval is beyond me.

Taro is too video gamey for IPL. I believe that Yoko Taro still recognizes the fun factor as a goal. IPL just laugh at your face when you call their games "fun"

I haven't really read much of Taro's commentary on his games/development, but that's true. God I'd love to see what a joint project would be like, though - narratively and mechanically.
