I didn't get enough cards that work together so I rock zoolock/aggrolock and aggro paladin, works fine most of the time. Some cards feel VERY OP though, like that 4 mana 4/5 that gets +5 HP is cthun has 10+ attack. Same for twin emperor.

It's almost like he's free to everyone who opens a pack and tryhards try to use his shit.
It'll taper off in a few weeks when more people start to adapt their decks to other cards from the expansion, like the other old gods or the other legendaries. It's just a matter of getting those cards.

Playing beast hunter. It was my favorite deck before the buzzard nerf and feels really good to be able to kick C'thun shitter ass with a fun different deck.
I think control C'thun decks and the resource management that comes with them is fun.

I like old god lore stuff to the point where I kind of want to come back, but all I have is a druid deck that was only kind of decent from way back when the game was new, with no adventure cards or anything from the two expacs.
I would probably get creamed and don't want to dump 200 bucks to play catchup.

Not really. Most people will see the shiny free legendary, the cards that make that legendary even shinier and try to make decks out of all of it.

Face shaman beats Cthun. Freeze mage beats Cthun. Zoo beats Cthun. Other Cthun beats Cthun.
Cthun decks are by and large the new control decks, because if you're playing control you'll have to deal with tempo minions finishing off with a big burst. Only way to reliably beat Cthun is to either play an even slower control game (Freeze mage) or play faster.

But cthun is shit, anon. Everyone is playing overpowered as fuck shaman instead. I'm playing evolve shaman myself and am currently on an 8 winstreak at rank 7. This class is so OP that priests usually just disconnect as soon as they see that you're playing shaman.
This new expansion is incredibly fun for me. A real breath of fresh air as opposed to the stale meta we had before.

It's not that expensive of a deck desu. Most of the good games are old gods cards so you should be able to get most out of old gods packs and then just craft the 2 legendaries. Most people probably don't even use alah akbar so you could probably even skip him.

I use the classic legendary and the old gods legendary in my deck. Don't know about other shaman users. Never ever seen anyone use the murlock guy.

Real netdeckers are running Aggro shaman, as it's cheap as shit has no strong counter decks yet.
C'thun players are mostly fun/casual shitters trying to get serious with their free legendary, but it loses hard to most of the new streamer decks.
I just started playing this game. I don't have that many cards. I'm like rank 20 right now.
Every single god damn game I play is a c'thun deck. One after another. At around 24-21 it was fine. Then I got to 20 and it's just that.
I did get 2 legs from my first free 5 packs, which is nice.

That'll be the case for a few weeks. Everyone got cthun for free so everyone wants to try him out. If you play wild I doubt anyone would play cthun.
I think cthun will ultimately prove to be a pretty high tier deck archetype anyway so ultimately there will probably be people still playing it for the next few expansions.
