It is harder to use than the first 2 Souls games but it's more powerful. Dark Souls 2's was nigh impossible to use to make a good looking character and Bloodborne's was really good.

You could activate AA, shadows on Low, textures medium for aniso, lighting medium, ssao medium - high (try), motion blur and reflections high. If you're graphic cards is under minimal requirements, you're problem is lack of vram so adding those effects at that resolution wont cost you so much, you'll have the same stutters looking at certain geometries so whatever.

How's my KKK negress? Been trying to do mainly a crossbow run, and cheesing the bosses has been quite hilarious. Clearing levels mostly with the spear tho, since it would take ages otherwise, maybe a few finishing shots here and there.

Motion blur is must have if you play at 30fps, to enable some sense of motion you'd only get with 60fps, and you need it in high to activate per object motion blur like in Das1 which made the low framerate on animations bearable.
Reflections only affect water and only there and it cost literally no performance and it vastly improves the quality of the image on the few zones its implemented.
