Damn you people are really trying to convince us we didn't like Nost.
Only two raid tiers? Well sure, there were tier 1 in molten core, tier 2 in blackwing lair and tier 3 in naxx. But "tiers" didn't matter all too much because there was gear to collect from 5 man dungeons (class sets which you could also upgrade), UBRS which was a 15 man raid, Zul Gurub, AQ 20 and 40.. and maybe something I'm forgetting.. yeah crafting and world bosses. Back in the day lvl 58-60 blues were actually good.
Getting gold at a slower pace meant you had to work for your reward rather than get shit handed at you at once. No mount till 40 meant you explored felt the world. Now you can mount at lvl 1, just go from point a to point b and never stop. No exploration.
The only thing vanilla needed was quest givers showing up on the minimap and autoloot (mainly for my pickpocket macros).

Apart from the fact that you don't go from point a to point b anymore, its all dungeon finder now.
I do however prefer having a fast track leveling up until the latest expansion since I've already quested though vanilla, tbc, wotlk and cataclysm to many times.
