It makes axe never worthless in team fights. Agi heroes or heroes with high armor used to laugh at his initiations. Now you are fucked no matter what because thats 180 pure damage that goes through BKB and shits on your face.
Blademail calculates return damage before reductions, so while they are essentially killing themselves, they are also literally killing themselves. And axe just laughs at how much damage he is NOT taking
